Patents versus the People*

Patents
work by creating an artificial scarcity so that innovating
firms earn supernormal profits. But the anti-Covid vaccines
were developed through public funded research and not
by private firm's money. When thousands are dying around
the world, saving lives has priority over firms' profits,
for which patents on vaccines must be removed.
