Primer on Employment Guarantee Act

The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 is a law whereby any adult who is willing to do unskilled manual labour at the minimum wage is entitled to being employed on public works within fifteen days. This Primer is a simple introduction to the Act. Through a question-answer format, it informs an unemployed person in India how to take advantage of the Act. It also educates concerned citizens as to how the Act can be implemented effectively for the benefit of all concerned.
