Announcement for 'Editor, Gender and Development Journal' for Circulation
Aug 4th 2021
The Journal Gender and Development is looking for an Editor

Oxfam India is now part of a southern consortium of Oxfams (Turkey, Colombia, South Africa, Mexico and Brazil being the other Oxfams in the consortium) which will host the Gender and Development Journal. Gender & Development is a unique journal that is also a project. Its aim is to inspire, influence and support development and humanitarian policy and practice, promoting social justice and gender equality. Published by Oxfam for 26 years in partnership with Routledge/Taylor & Francis, the international journal has become essential reading. We publish accessible yet rigorous articles by gender and development practitioners, policymakers and researchers, and feminist activists from around the globe. Gender and Development foregrounds the experience of development practitioners, many from the global South, who have valuable experiences to share but face barriers to publishing in conventional journals. You can read more about the journal here:

As part of the new journey of Gender and Development the Oxfam Southern Consortium is recruiting a full time Editor (India based). Please find here the Announcement for Editor, Gender and Development position. We request you to please circulate it widely among your networks to reach those interested in applying such as Academics and Practitioners in the field of Gender and Development, Women’s Studies/ Gender Studies/ Sociology/ Humanities/ Social Work departments in Universities, Research institutes, Feminist Networks, Network of Feminist Evaluators, Network of Researchers, Network of Civil Society Organisations etc. For any queries or clarifications you may get in touch with me at amita@oxfamindia.org (Gender Lead) or Varna Sri Raman varna@oxfamindia.org (Research Lead).
