Call for Applications for Programme Associate

The Foundation for Agrarian Studies, a registered charitable trust engaged in field-based research on agrarian issues, has a vacancy for a full-time Programme Associate. The job is based in Kolkata though may require travel. The main tasks involve the collection, compilation and statistical analysis of secondary data on agrarian issues. The duties also include some office management tasks. The initial contract is for a period of 12 months, starting September 1, 2006, with two months' probation.

Preferred qualifications: M.A in Economics, with practical experience in data management software. Knowledge of spreadsheet software essential.

Salary: Rs 10,000 per month (negotiable).
